New Central Bank of Nigeria, Lagos
A new office building for the Nigerian Central Bank is being constructed in the economic metropolis of Lagos and Bilfinger Berger Nigeria is taking a leading role in the planning of the construction work. With our support, Julius Berger Nigeria already constructed the headquarters of the Central Bank in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, in 2002.
The office building in Lagos will comprise 23 stories including a parking garage. The client has special requirements for the project, particularly regarding building and security technologies.
The special conditions of the building site are an important factor in the planning of this 100-meter tall building. A high groundwater level and sandy soil conditions in the lagoon city of Lagos posed a big challenge to Bilfinger Berger Nigeria's engineers.
